المملكة: "Qassim environment" 731 inspection tours were carried out in the markets in preparation for the Ramadan season
The branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Qassim region, with the participation of the branch of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Waqa), implemented In compliance with health and veterinary requirements, and raising the level of control over food products to ensure their safety for consumers during the season, the control campaign carried out (731) rounds of control that resulted in the confiscation of (15) violating products, sending (130) samples to the pesticide residue laboratory, in addition to recording (155) violations and warnings. href=" target="_blank">Livestock and birds (6479) heads, while (230) cases of complete and partial culling of cases unfit for consumption were carried out, while the participating teams implemented (12) awareness campaigns to enhance health and environmental awareness among consumers and workers.
These efforts come within the Ministry’s plan to raise the level of readiness during its preparations for the holy month of Ramadan season, and to ensure food safety and protect public health in the Qassim region.
