“Aqua”: commencement of commercial operation of the “Riverside” station in Uzbekistan
Yesterday, Aqua received a notice from its affiliated project company, which is responsible for developing a battery energy storage system with a capacity of 334 MW/501 MWh within the Riverside Solar Project (Plant 2).
The company said in a statement on its website "Saudi Arabia trading": The notification indicates the start of full commercial operation, following confirmation from the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan that the commercial operation date for Station 2 has been achieved.
Aqua owns a 100% stake in the project company that operates the 200 MW Riverside solar photovoltaic power plant (Station 1), in addition to the 334 MW/501 MWh battery energy storage system (Station 2), located in the area Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan.
The company expected that the financial impact of this development would be reflected in the first quarter of 2026.
