Saif bin Zayed chairs the meeting of the Police Command Council at the Ministry of Interior

ABU DHABI, February 12, 2026 – Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, chaired the first meeting of the Police Command Council (2026), which was held in the Union Hall at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of police commanders and senior officials.
The Council discussed a number of topics related to the development of digital services, strategic performance indicators, and general results that contribute to strengthening the state’s leadership in the areas of security, safety, and societal stability, and establishing a proactive and integrated police work system, consistent with the best international standards and practices.
In this context, His Excellency Engineer Mohammed bin Taliah, Head of Government Services in the UAE Government, reviewed the new cycle of the global star system for services, and the qualitative additions it contains that are in line with government trends towards enhancing proactiveness, raising the level of readiness for the future, eliminating bureaucracy, and accelerating the completion of transactions in order to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
The Council also reviewed the annual report submitted by the General Administration of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior, which reviewed the “We are the Emirates” indicators and the strategic indicators for the year (2025), in addition to the results of the Security Quality of Life Survey conducted by the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics, where the results showed exceptional indicators, reflecting the high community confidence and the efficiency of the security system’s performance.
The meeting also witnessed a review of the distinguished digital service “Honoring the Departed” provided by the Ajman Police General Command to community members, which reflects the keenness of the Ministry of Interior and its police leadership to develop integrated digital humanitarian services that take into account the needs of society and facilitate procedures in various circumstances.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaytoun Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services, the general commanders of the country’s police, and Brigadier Saeed Tuer Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior.
