المملكة: Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.. Umm Al-Qura University organizes the Scientific Forum for Hajj and Umrah Research
Sponsored by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – organized Umm Al-Qura University, during the period from 20 to 21 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to 2 to 3 September 2026 AD, the twenty-sixth scientific forum for research Hajj and Umrah and the visit, with the participation of a number of researchers, academics, experts and specialists from various bodies related to the Hajj, Umrah and visitation system, in the historic King Abdulaziz Hall in the university city in Al-Abdiya.
The President of Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Muadi bin Muhammad Al-Madhhab, explained that the generous sponsorship of the forum reflects the interest of the wise leadership in supporting scientific research and innovation, harnessing its outputs to serve the guests of God, and strengthening national efforts aimed at developing the Hajj system. Umrah and visitation, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the program for serving the guests of the Most Gracious, and contributes to providing innovative scientific and technical solutions that elevate the experience of pilgrims, Umrah pilgrims and visitors, and enrich its religious, cultural and humanitarian dimensions.
He stated that the twenty-sixth edition of the forum is held under the slogan “Excellence and Integration in the Hajj and Umrah Services System”, and witnesses the organization of scientific sessions and specialized workshops that review the latest practices and research experiences in the fields of management. Crowds, digital transformation, environmental sustainability, artificial intelligence, healthcare, logistics, and innovation in serving the guests of God.
The Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation System
He pointed out "Al Madhhab" The forum will be accompanied by a scientific and knowledge exhibition showcasing the most prominent initiatives, services, innovations and research papers related to the Hajj, Umrah and visitation system, in addition to holding the fourth edition of "Haggathon"which aims to attract students, researchers, thinkers and entrepreneurs to provide innovative solutions and ideas that contribute to enhancing integration between academic, research and executive bodies, and stimulate the production of qualitative scientific solutions that support national development goals and keep pace with rapid developments in the Hajj, Umrah and visiting sector.
The university, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, continues to complete its scientific and organizational preparations to hold the forum; To discuss the latest studies, research and innovations that contribute to developing the services provided to pilgrims, Umrah pilgrims and visitors, and enhancing the efficiency of the operational and service system in order to achieve sustainable development goals.
The organization of the forum comes as confirmation of the great support and interest that the Hajj, Umrah and Visitation sector enjoys from the wise leadership – may God support it – and an embodiment of the Kingdom’s established approach to developing the system of services provided to the guests of God in accordance with the highest international standards.
