Under the patronage of Mohammed bin Rashid… the most prominent hope makers in the Arab world will be crowned tomorrow

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him.” Tomorrow (Sunday) the city of Dubai will witness the coronation of the most prominent Hope Makers in the Arab world, during the closing ceremony of the sixth session of the “Hope Makers” initiative, which is taking place at the “Coca-Cola Arena.”

“Hope Makers”, the largest Arab initiative of its kind dedicated to celebrating those who give in the Arab world, grants the winning Hope Maker a financial reward worth one million dirhams, in appreciation of his humanitarian contributions, and to encourage him to develop his programs to help others and serve his community.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, which organizes the “Hope Makers” initiative, has completed its preparations to announce the winners of the sixth session, which received more than 15,800 nomination applications.

The closing ceremony received wide coverage from various media outlets in the UAE and the Arab region, in addition to the possibility of following it on the social media platforms of the “Hope Makers” initiative.

Attendees at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, before the coronation of the first hope maker in the Arab world, will follow inspiring humanitarian stories of an elite group of knights of giving who have harnessed their efforts and resources to serve their communities, in the presence of a large group of artists, intellectuals, media figures, and social media celebrities in the Arab world, and figures from UAE society who are distinguished in charitable and humanitarian work.

Candidates for the Hope Makers Initiative pass through several qualifiers before reaching the final qualifiers in Dubai, during which the first Hope Makers undergo a comprehensive evaluation while their projects and initiatives are followed up and studied with documents and papers, before the winner of the “Hope Maker” title is announced.

The Hope Makers Initiative jury, which includes an elite group of specialists and competencies, evaluates each nomination according to specific criteria that include the topic of the initiative and the challenges associated with it, its role in making real and tangible change, and its ability to reach the target segment.

The jury also selects the candidates for the final stage based on the outstanding impact achieved by the owners of these initiatives in their communities, an impact supported by facts, evidence and figures, so that the qualified initiative succeeds in addressing a specific problem and finding innovative solutions to it, and adapting the resources available to them to achieve the desired goals, and working to communicate with components of the local community, individuals and institutions, to involve them in an endeavor based on encouraging a culture of volunteerism and community solidarity.

Since its launch in 2017, the “Hope Makers” initiative has received more than 335,000 nomination applications. The “Hope Makers” initiative aims to shed light on the hope makers in the Arab world, both women and men, who devote their time, effort and resources to serving others, helping the poor and needy, providing relief to the afflicted and contributing to improving the lives around them, in addition to introducing the initiatives, projects and programs of the Hope Makers through various traditional and digital media, and through new media platforms, and promoting Their fame in their communities and in the Arab world as a whole.

The initiative also aims to contribute to creating positive, inspiring role models among young people in the Arab world who will be role models for others in working for constructive change and developing their societies, and to celebrate these models as new heroes or true stars who deserve praise and appreciation, in addition to encouraging and motivating thousands of young people to develop humanitarian and community initiatives, engage in volunteer programs and campaigns, or contribute to creating hope in their communities through all available means.

Among its objectives, the initiative seeks to reward distinguished hope makers with the most influential initiatives by providing them with financial support to help them continue their initiatives, intensify their humanitarian and volunteer efforts in their communities, and expand the scope of their initiatives and projects to include a larger number of beneficiaries, as well as contributing to instilling a culture of hope and positivity throughout the Arab world and encouraging giving.
