Dubai Customs participates in competitions "Dubai Games 2026"
DUBAI, 14th February, 2026 (WAM) – Dubai Customs participated in the “Dubai Games 2026” competitions in its seventh edition, within a competitive atmosphere characterized by enthusiasm and a spirit of challenge, as part of its continued commitment to establishing a culture of teamwork and enhancing the physical and mental readiness of its employees, which reflects positively on the work environment and raises levels of institutional performance.
The department participated alongside 28 government agencies during the second day of the sporting event, which brings together cadres of government agencies on one platform that enhances the spirit of cooperation and belonging, and perpetuates the concepts of institutional solidarity and working as one team.
The Dubai Customs team presented an advanced performance that reflected a high level of coordination and professionalism while facing various challenges that required comprehensive physical fitness, high mental focus, and speed in making decisions, which reflects the efficiency of the department’s cadres and their readiness to deal with various variables efficiently and responsibly, thus enhancing its institutional standing and confirming its honorable presence in national forums.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Busnad, Director General of Dubai Customs, during his presence and support of the department’s team, praised the members’ determination, discipline and high competitive spirit, stressing that participation in the “Dubai Games” represents an embodiment of the values of institutional solidarity and work in the spirit of one team.
He explained that excellence is not built solely on individual effort, but rather on the integration of roles and consistency of performance within one system, which enhances the quality of work life and establishes a work environment supportive of sustainable achievement.
His Excellency added that supporting such initiatives embodies Dubai Customs’ commitment to empowering its cadres and enhancing their readiness, by building cohesive work teams capable of facing challenges and achieving sustainable results, stressing that participation in this national event is consistent with the department’s strategic directions in investing in human capital and improving employee well-being, which enhances the process of institutional excellence and supports Dubai’s vision of establishing a healthier, more active and sustainable society.
The Dubai Games are a leading sports platform that brings together teams from various government and private agencies in innovative competitions that enhance the spirit of challenge and cooperation, and contribute to consolidating Dubai’s position as a global model in supporting community sports and healthy lifestyles. During the first and second days of the competitions, 56 government departments participated in a clear reflection of the size of the institutional interest in this prominent sporting event.
