The National Paralympic Committee was keen to encourage people of determination to participate in this global event, and to confirm their active presence in the scheduled events, by signing an agreement with the organizing committee of the “Masters Games – Abu Dhabi 2026”, based on multiple goals related to acquiring skills and experience, enhancing rapprochement with participants from different countries of the world, and enabling them to participate in global events within a safe and stimulating sports environment, allowing them to reach the best results, and embodying the values of inclusiveness in inclusion.
Dozens of male and female players of determination, in various sports and age groups, paint a remarkable picture in the “Masters Games” events, with their great passion, strength of will, and insistence on attending national sporting events, and regional and international events, thus enhancing their position as an active and influential group in the sports scene.
Theban Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee, stressed that the “Masters Games – Abu Dhabi 2026” is not just a passing sporting event, but rather represents an important exception in terms of the goals and directions it carries for the wise leadership in consolidating sporting values, promoting rapprochement between peoples, and confirming the sublime meanings of sport in establishing noble values within societies, with an Emirati vision that strengthens its leadership in presenting inspiring initiatives to the world.
Al Muhairi praised the great response from the groups of people of determination to the idea of participating in the “Masters Games”, and the keenness to register and interact with the directives issued by the organizing committee, which confirms the pioneering role of this group in supporting initiatives and programs aimed at consolidating the concepts of community integration in its various axes and directions.
Saif Al Nuaimi, Director of the Al Ain Club for People of Determination, said that the activities of the “Masters Games – Abu Dhabi 2026” embody the vision of the wise leadership in building people, enhancing community cohesion, family stability and quality of life, within an integrated system that establishes the position of the Emirati family as a role model for cohesion and social responsibility.
Al Nuaimi pointed to the great efforts of the organizing committee in supporting people of determination, and providing all the requirements for their participation in the events, because this participation represents a strategic value linked to strategies for their integration into society, as they are a basic building block and an active group in it, and in appreciation of their sustainable role and great impact in various sporting events and events inside and outside the country.
Emirati champion Hamda Al Hosani expressed her happiness with the stimulating atmosphere at the “Masters Games” events, and the keenness to involve them in various sports competitions, which contributes to enhancing their vital role in supporting the success of sports and community programs and initiatives, noting that the wise leadership places the People of Determination category among its priorities, to enable them to develop their skills, improve their competitive capabilities, and raise the country’s flag in external forums.
Al Hosani noted the influential role of her mother in encouraging her and her sister Maryam to participate in athletics and bowling competitions, in addition to inviting them to participate in a number of events related to the “Masters Games,” such as the medal unveiling conference and the opening ceremony, which reflects the remarkable interest of the organizing committee in the importance of the presence of people of determination and their participation in the scheduled events, in a way that reflects the UAE’s firm commitment to empowering them and consolidating their presence in various forums.
