The World Youth Karate League Championship continues "Fujairah 2026"

Fujairah, February 15, 2026 – The 2026 World Youth Karate League Championship continues in Fujairah, with the wide participation of the world’s elite players in the under-18 age groups.
The third day’s competitions at the Zayed Sports Complex in the Emirate of Fujairah witnessed the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Physical Strength Federation, along with Antonio Spinos, President of the International Karate Federation, Major General Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, President of the UAE and Asian Karate Federations and Vice President of the International Federation, and a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Karate Federation.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi praised the outstanding technical and organizational level of the tournament, stressing that the high professionalism in the organization contributed to the success of the event and highlighted the country’s position in hosting international sports tournaments.
Major General Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi appreciated the efforts of the organizing committees, noting that the continuous meetings and coordination between the work teams played a pivotal role in the success of the events and enhancing community participation, stressing the importance of the tournament in supporting the sport of karate and enhancing its presence at the international level.
Rashid Abdul Majeed Al Ali, Vice President of the Emirati and Asian Federations and a member of the Executive Office of the International Federation, confirmed that the Emirate of Fujairah continues to harness all capabilities to ensure the success of the tournament, noting that previous editions have established the UAE’s reputation as a preferred destination for hosting tournaments thanks to the quality of organization and services provided.
Brigadier Marwan Sinkel, Vice President of the Emirates Karate Federation, pointed out that the “Fujairah 2026” edition represents a major station within the World League calendar for age groups, explaining that the level of competition in it is no less strong than the World Youth Championship, with expectations of strong competitions and sports surprises at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah.
Dr. Abdullah Al Badi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Emirates Karate Federation and General Coordinator of the Championship, indicated that the Fujairah edition will achieve several records, whether in terms of participation, public attendance, or the technical level of the competitions.
Mohammed Harbouk Al Shehhi, Member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Karate Federation and Director of Finance, also indicated that the tournament is enjoying great media and community momentum, noting that the interest witnessed in the Fujairah edition reflects the emirate’s status and its role in supporting combat sports.
Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Karate Federation and a member of the Asian Competitions Organizing Committee, confirmed that the success achieved by the tournament comes as a result of the great support, continuous follow-up and coordination with the concerned authorities and the International Federation, amid wide international praise for the distinguished organizational level of the event.
Maryam Al Shamsi, member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Karate Federation and head of the Women’s Committee, expressed her happiness with the bronze medal of Habiba Yasser, the national team player, in the kumite competition (female under 48 kg).
Ahmed Salem Basalib, member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Karate Federation and Vice Chairman of the National Teams Committee, praised the efforts made by the tournament’s work teams, especially the organizing committee and its youth group, which made intensive efforts that are worthy of praise.
On the other hand, the Emirates Tour, in cooperation with the Emirates Karate Federation, organized a distinguished community carnival at the Zayed Sports Complex in the Emirate of Fujairah, coinciding with the championship competitions.
