Dubai Customs continues to implement the “Executive Leadership” program

Dubai Customs has begun implementing the “Executive Leadership” program as a second phase of “Path 33”, which includes an integrated system of leadership programmes, aiming to prepare and empower the second and third leadership ranks of executives, and enhance their ability to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the global customs sector, thus contributing to supporting Dubai’s economic agenda (D33), and consolidating its role as a leading global center for the economy during the next decade.

The program launch ceremony included a special session that discussed the book of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, “You Taught Me Life,” to inspire the vision and thought of His Highness, and to recall the leadership lessons and principles that formed a foundation in building the Emirati leadership model to establish a conscious leadership culture capable of making an impact and continuing institutional excellence. The program embodies Dubai Customs’ commitment to investing in human capital, by building a system An executive leader who possesses the competence and readiness to lead a smart, flexible and integrated customs system.

The program contributes to supporting the six strategic objectives of Dubai Customs, which are facilitating trade, enhancing security and compliance, securing revenues, developing economic partnerships, improving the experience of customers and stakeholders, and establishing sustainable institutional excellence.

The “Executive Leadership” program focuses on advanced methodologies in management and innovation, developing strategic thinking and decision-making skills, in addition to establishing a culture of institutional excellence, ensuring increased performance efficiency and enhancing the flexibility of the customs sector to keep pace with the changes in the global economy.

Director General of Dubai Customs, Dr. Abdullah Busnad, stressed that the “Executive Leadership” program represents a strategic investment in people, as they are the main driver of institutional transformation and creating sustainable impact, in support of Dubai’s vision of leadership and sustainability.
