The Minister of Commerce inaugurates "Mecca Halal Forum" With wide international participation

Launch Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the official opening of the works of the third edition of (), during the period from February 14 to 16, at the Makkah Chamber of Exhibitions and Events Center, in the presence of high-ranking international leaders and representatives of economic entities, regulatory bodies and institutions concerned with the halal industry from various countries of the world.
Al-Qasabi stressed in his speech during the opening that the forum’s slogan embodies the qualitative transformation of the halal sector from a growing market to an integrated industry managed with standards of quality and governance. And transparency, noting that the Kingdom has adopted a strategic approach to consolidate its position as a global center for the halal industry through an advanced legislative and regulatory system.
He stressed the Ministry of Commerce’s commitment to providing a competitive environment that supports innovation and growth for entrepreneurs in this vital sector.
An influential international platform
The President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Makkah Chamber, Abdullah Saleh Kamel, explained in his speech, "In its third edition, the Makkah Halal Forum has moved from a platform for dialogue to a platform for decision-making, and that it was not born to be a passing event, but rather to be an influential international platform that redefines the halal industry and sets for it a future worthy of its size and influence in the global economy."
He stressed that halal is not just an industry, but a global vision that balances values and growth, and that holding this forum in Mecca is the truest address for an industry based on integrity, quality, transparency and commitment, which are the same values that the global consumer is looking for today more than ever before.
Inauguration of the “Halal Golden” logo
During the opening ceremony, the “Halal Golden” logo was launched, which emanates from Mecca to be a sign of trust for the consumer. It reflects the highest standards of quality and commitment in the halal industry, in addition to the announcement of the launch of the (Halal Academy).
The forum also witnessed intense economic and regulatory activity, as the Minister of Commerce sponsored the signing ceremony of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) with the Halal Products Guarantee Agency in the Republic of Indonesia, to ensure the quality of halal products, and the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Islamic Central Council in the Kingdom of Thailand, to enhance cooperation in the halal fields.
These agreements represent a strategic step towards unifying standards and enhancing reliability. Accreditation and expanding the scope of international recognition of certificates issued by the Kingdom.
Global position of the Kingdom
The broad international presence, with the participation of entities and companies representing many countries, including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Malaysia and Turkey, reflects the growing position of the Kingdom as a meeting platform for sustainable investment in the halal sector, and a hub for economic integration between regional and global markets.
It confirms "Makkah Halal Forum 2026" Its role as a strategic platform that combines economic thought, regulatory standards, institutional empowerment and technical innovation, which enhances the Kingdom’s position as a major player in the global economy and the halal industry, and translates its commitment to developing this vital sector at the regional and international levels in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
