"Abu Dhabi Amiri Equestrian Arts School" It concludes its cultural celebration with the Chinese New Year

ABU DHABI, 16th February, 2017 (WAM) – The Abu Dhabi School of Equestrian Arts successfully concluded its specific cultural initiative, which was held to celebrate the Chinese New Year, “Year of the Horse,” in the Chinese calendar, and lasted from 13 to 15 February.
The event was organized in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in the People’s Republic of China, at the school’s headquarters on Jubail Island in Abu Dhabi, which highlighted the depth and vitality of cultural dialogue between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China. It also represented a platform for humanitarian communication, community participation, and cultural diplomacy with a future vision.
The celebration reflected the symbolism of the horse in the Emirati and Chinese cultural heritage. The event included workshops, traditional experiences and performances. The event highlighted culture as a bridge linking civilizations, values and common aspirations across borders.
His Excellency Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, the UAE Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, said that the celebration of the “Year of the Horse” reflects the strength and strength of UAE-Chinese relations, as it highlights the role of cultural exchange in deepening relations of cooperation and mutual understanding and enhancing communication between the peoples of the two countries through celebrating common heritage and values.
The celebration of the “Year of the Horse”, through equestrianism, embodied the development of relations between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China towards a partnership based in one of its aspects on human communication and direct cultural exchange.
Throughout the days of the event, the Abu Dhabi Amiri Equestrian Arts School opened its doors to families, artists, equestrian sports enthusiasts, and those interested in cultural affairs, to participate in rich experiences that reflected common values and contributed to enhancing learning and cultural dialogue between the two countries.
The event program provided an integrated cultural experience that highlighted the status of the horse throughout the ages, drawing inspiration from heritage and cosmic narratives from Chinese astronomy and the legacy of the desert in the Arabian Gulf region.
The program included creative workshops, tea preparation experiments, and performance performances, in addition to the traditional lion dance in China and the Emirati art of Ayyala, which is included on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage, and which embodies the meanings of unity, dignity, and common identity. This was also accompanied by a distinguished presence of the arts of Arabic and Chinese calligraphy.
In its final stop, the program highlighted the horse as a symbol of discipline, mastery and strength, through interactive artistic experiences that culminated in the “Equestrian: Return to the Roots” show, which is the distinctive show of the Abu Dhabi School of Equestrian Arts, which expresses the deep relationship between the rider and the horse across cultures and centuries, presenting heritage in a living image that combines movement and high artistic performance that combines discipline and beauty.
