"Emsteel" and"Oldendorf Carriers" They concluded a sea transportation agreement for raw materials worth 600 million dirhams

Abu Dhabi, February 17, 2017 / WAM / Emsteel Group announced the signing of an agreement for the sea transportation of raw materials with Oldendorf Carriers.
Under this renewed agreement, Oldendorf Carriers will continue to provide customized sea freight services for raw material shipments to the Emsteel Group’s steel factories in Abu Dhabi, with an emphasis on the highest standards of operational safety, regularity of supplies, and commitment to responsible practices in the maritime transport sector.
This agreement comes as an extension of more than 20 years of continuous cooperation between Imsteel and Oldendorf Carriers, establishing a partnership that has had a fundamental impact in supporting Imsteel’s industrial growth and enhancing the reliability of its supply chains.
The agreement was concluded for a period of five years and with a total estimated value of about 600 million dirhams throughout the contract period, which reflects the size and strategic position of this partnership.
Under the agreement, Oldendorf Carriers will transport approximately 5.2 million tons annually of iron ore pellets from multiple sources, thus forming a major logistical link between Imsteel and iron ore pellet suppliers, supporting smooth coordination of operations, ensuring regular deliveries, and enhancing cooperation across the various stages of the supply chain.
Engineer Saeed Ghumran Al Rumaithi, CEO of Emsteel Group, said that the long-term agreement with Oldendorf Carriers confirms Emsteel’s keenness to establish partnerships with reliable entities that share the values of efficiency and reliability, pointing out that the agreement will ensure regular and efficient supplies of raw materials, thus enhancing the group’s readiness to meet the needs of the infrastructure and industry sectors and support sustainable development paths.
For his part, Patrick Hutchins, CEO of Oldendorf Carriers, confirmed their readiness to continue this long partnership with Emsteel, which was established over years of joint work based on trust and transparency, looking forward to building on this solid foundation to enhance areas of cooperation between the two sides during the next stage.
