المملكة: Urgent: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques addresses citizens and residents of the Kingdom and Muslims on the occasion of the month of Ramadan


The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – addressed the citizens and residents of the Kingdom and Muslims, on the occasion of the advent of the month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH.

The following is the text of the speech that His Excellency the Minister of Information, Mr. Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari, was honored to deliver:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Praise be to God Almighty, who says in His Noble Book, (O you who believe Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you that you may become righteous. May peace and blessings be upon His trustworthy Messenger, and upon his family and all his companions.
My brothers and sisters, citizens and residents, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Muslims around the world.
May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you:
We congratulate you on the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan, in which the gates of Paradise are opened, and in which there is a night better than a thousand months, asking God. Glory be to Him to help us to fast, pray, and perform obedience.
We thank the Most High and Almighty God for what he has bestowed upon our blessed country, of the honor of serving the Two Holy Mosques, and the pilgrims, Umrah pilgrims and visitors who go to them, and we are continuing, with God’s help, on this firm path, which the kings of this country have followed.
O Muslims:
The month of Ramadan is a great occasion for purifying souls, doing good deeds, and promoting compassion and solidarity. He thanked the Almighty God for his apparent and hidden blessings.
We ask God Almighty to bless us in this holy month, to accept our good deeds, to perpetuate security and prosperity in our country, and to bless our brothers in Palestine, the Islamic nation, and the entire world with peace and stability.
May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you.
