"The gallant knight 3"/ The Emirati Floating Hospital in Al-Arish gives hope to a Palestinian girl suffering from a rare health condition

Al-Arish, February 18, 2017 – The Emirati Floating Hospital in the port of Al-Arish provides specialized medical care to the Palestinian girl, Sama Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Ghurais, 13 years old, coming from the Gaza Strip, as part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3,” and within the framework of the continuing humanitarian and medical efforts of the United Arab Emirates to support sick and injured Palestinian brothers.
The medical team explained that the child suffers from atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome, which is a rare condition that requires careful follow-up and specialized treatment at regular intervals. She is subjected to a periodic treatment program that includes receiving a therapeutic injection every two months, in addition to medical examinations and continuous follow-up in accordance with approved protocols.
The Emirati Floating Hospital confirmed its full readiness to receive medical cases coming from the Gaza Strip, and to provide treatment services according to the highest medical standards, which reflects the UAE’s commitment to its firm humanitarian approach in supporting the Palestinian brothers and alleviating their suffering in light of the difficult humanitarian circumstances.
The story of little Sama embodies the suffering of many sick children in the Gaza Strip, and stresses the importance of continuing humanitarian and medical work within Operation “The Gallant Knight 3” to save lives and provide health care to the most needy groups.
