Microsoft pumps $50 billion to support artificial intelligence in the Global South


Microsoft said on Wednesday that it is on pace to invest $50 billion by the end of the current decade to support expanding the use of Artificial Intelligence in the Global South.

This announcement came during The AI ​​Summit in New Delhi, where senior executives from leading global AI companies will meet with a number of world leaders this week.

The term refers to "Global South" to Developing, emerging or low-income countries, mostly in the Southern Hemisphere.

Microsoft last year unveiled $17.5 billion in artificial intelligence investments in India, as the American giant strengthened its bet on one of the world’s fastest-growing digital markets.
