Microsoft pumps $50 billion to support artificial intelligence in the Global South

Microsoft said on Wednesday that it is on pace to invest $50 billion by the end of the current decade to support expanding the use of Artificial Intelligence in the Global South.
This announcement came during The AI Summit in New Delhi, where senior executives from leading global AI companies will meet with a number of world leaders this week.
The term refers to "Global South" to Developing, emerging or low-income countries, mostly in the Southern Hemisphere.
Microsoft last year unveiled $17.5 billion in artificial intelligence investments in India, as the American giant strengthened its bet on one of the world’s fastest-growing digital markets.
