“Islamic Affairs” directs imams to reduce Tarawih prayers

The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat stressed to imams and preachers the necessity of taking into account the conditions of worshipers and the importance of moderation and lenience in Tarawih prayers, and for them to be role models for others in behavior, spreading tranquility and reassurance, and embodying the values of society.

He stressed that the Authority is keen to build mosques in the new neighborhoods in coordination with the competent authorities in the country, in order to enable worshipers to perform the ritual of prayer. The new mosques that bear the names of the seven emirates of the country have been opened, and there are many mosques under construction, as 66 mosques are expected to be opened, complete with all their annexes. The Authority also places the maintenance and readiness of mosques at the forefront of its concerns, and about 12,500 seedlings have been planted and planted in 224 mosques within The first phase of the “We Plant Our Own Farms” campaign, which was previously launched by the Authority.
