Italian Jonathan Milan wins the fourth stage of the 2026 UAE Tour

ABU DHABI, February 19, 2017 (WAM) – Italian Jonathan Milan today won the fourth stage, “Palms Sports Stage,” of the 2026 UAE Tour, the only global race on the agenda of the International Cycling Union in the Middle East, which is organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and continues until February 22 in its eighth edition.
The German Liddell Trek team cyclist covered the 182 km (fast) stage, which started and ended in Fujairah, in a time of 4 hours, 3 minutes and 6 seconds, ahead of British Vernon Ethan, star of the NSN team, and his brother Matteo Milan, star of the Groupama FDG team, who came third in the stage.
After the end of the fourth round, the Italian Tiberi retained the red jersey sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, which is awarded to the leader of the overall standings in time, after covering the distances of the four rounds in a time of 11 hours, 12 minutes and 9 seconds.
As for the green jersey sponsored by Mubadala, which is awarded to the leader of the overall standings in points, it was kept by Mexican Isaac del Toro, star of the Emirates
The winners were crowned by His Excellency Arif Hamad Al Awani, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Colonel Abdullah Al Samahi, representative of the Fujairah Police General Command, His Excellency Talal Al Hashimi, Executive Director of the Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Fouad Darwish, CEO of Palms Sports, and Captain Mohammed Al Yahyai, CEO of Fujairah Ports (Abu Dhabi Ports Group).
Jonathan Milan confirmed after winning the fourth stage of the Tour that he was cautious about his decision to race in light of the strength of the escape group, which led by a comfortable margin. At the same time, he praised the performance of his team, which succeeded in reducing the gap and preparing it in the ideal position before the last kilometer, to decide the final start with confidence.
Milan expressed his happiness with his performance, and he also expressed his pride in his younger brother Matteo finishing third in the stage, indicating in a sporting spirit that he is happy with the superiority of his brother, who has a bright future in the world of bicycle racing.
