The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque launched its integrated and advanced guidance system, as part of its early preparations package to receive the crowds of millions during the holy month of Ramadan of the year 1447 AH, with the aim of guiding the guests of the Most Gracious, facilitating their movement, and enriching their spiritual experience to ensure the performance of their rituals and access to services with ease and ease.

Qualitative guidance initiatives that aim to improve the spatial experience, which included the launch of the “foot teams” service for field guidance, in addition to issuing a comprehensive guidebook translated into eight living languages, which contributes directly to facilitating the smooth movement of visitors and pilgrims within the corridors of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque and their external courtyards.
Field foot teams
The dismounted teams service aims to provide direct and accurate guidance and advice to Visitors to the Two Holy Mosques wherever they are, with special and exceptional care given to the elderly and people with disabilities. These field teams work to direct beneficiaries towards safe paths, facilities designated for them, and available services, ensuring ease of movement and quick access to various destinations within the Two Holy Mosques without trouble or difficulty. On the technical and cognitive level, the Authority issued a multi-lingual guidebook based on the internationally approved “color coding” system to facilitate inferences.
This guide includes a paper map and a smart interactive map supported by the quick response code “QR Code,” which works to clarify all areas of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, the locations of vital services, and ways to access them completely clearly and smoothly.

The Authority is currently supplying 60 modern guidance stands, 40 stands in the Grand Mosque and 20 stands in the Prophet’s Mosque before the start of the season. The project also includes the supply of 350 new information signs, bringing the total number of information signs to 2,731, distributed carefully and professionally throughout the Grand Mosque and its courtyards.
These diligent and deliberate efforts come within the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop and modernize the spatial guidance system in the Two Holy Mosques, and raise the level of quality of services provided. These steps reflect the keenness of the concerned authorities to provide a comfortable, safe and easy experience for the guests of God, in accordance with the highest international standards of care and care that befit those who visit the purest places.
