“Education” unifies procedures for uploading assignments and assessments via the LMS system during Ramadan

The Ministry of Education has adopted a unified mechanism to upload assignments and assessments for students, from kindergarten to twelfth grade, as part of the activities of the “Ramadan with the Family” initiative, via the Learning Management System (LMS), within the framework of the approved academic course plan.
This trend comes in the context of strengthening discipline and unifying procedures within government schools, ensuring clarity in the mechanisms for including activities and assessments, accurate follow-up of academic performance, and achieving justice among all students at various educational levels.
Through the guide for uploading assignments to the learning management system, which Emirates Today reviewed, the Ministry stressed the importance of schools and teachers adhering to specific steps to include and publish evaluations electronically, as they include entering the evaluation title, uploading instructions, and specifying the type of assignment, grade, and date of submission, before officially approving the assignment on the system.
Through the guide that Emirates Today reviewed, the Ministry specified a clear mechanism for students and parents to upload the completed work in approved formats, with a size not exceeding 50 MB, with the need to click “Submit” to ensure that the task is counted within the evaluation.
The ministry’s guide drew a clear road map for teachers, starting with entering the course plan, then choosing “Ramadan with the Family 2026,” reading the instructions, opening the activities file, and activating the content, all the way to “add a subject” and then “add an assessment.”
The new mechanism stressed the necessity of writing the evaluation title in English (Week 1 – Week 2 – Week 3), inserting the activity instructions in the designated box, uploading the instructions file, choosing the type of assignment (Handout), setting the grade at 10 points, and fixing the submission date before pressing “Publish” to officially approve the assignment on the system.
On the other hand, the Ministry has specified clear steps for students and parents after publishing the assignment, starting with downloading the instructions and reading them carefully, then implementing the activity, and saving the work as an image, Word file, PowerPoint, or video, provided that the file size does not exceed 50 MB.
The file is then uploaded via the platform, with the ability to add an optional comment for the teacher, then click “Submit” to complete the submission process and ensure that the assignment is officially counted within the evaluation.
This organization reflects a clear trend towards controlling the educational process digitally, preventing any discrepancy in evaluation mechanisms between schools or stages, and emphasizes the importance of effective partnership between the school and the family during the month of Ramadan, by employing educational technology efficiently, and ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities for the teacher, student, and guardian.
