"Distribution platform" The global presence of Emirati publishers and writers has been enhanced in prominent exhibitions

SHARJAH, 21st FEBRUARY, WAM / At the beginning of this year, Manasa Distribution Company recorded a significant presence in the Al Dhafra Book Festival, the Cairo International Book Fair, and the Damascus International Book Fair, based on an ambitious vision that aims to expand the spread of Emirati and Arab books in the knowledge arena at the Arab, regional and international levels, as it presented more than 1,270 titles that reflect the richness and diversity of creative production in the Emirates.

The Al Dhafra Book Festival 2026, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center in Madinat Zayed Public Park in the Al Dhafra region, was a distinguished platform through which the company continued to promote the culture of reading, spread knowledge in the local community, and support cultural initiatives at the state level, by making 403 titles available from the latest publications of 81 local publishing houses, with a total of 1,212 books.

The Cairo International Book Fair 2026, which was held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center under the slogan “He who stops reading for an hour is delayed by centuries,” also witnessed a qualitative Emirati participation represented by the display of 482 titles with the participation of 102 publishing houses and a total of 2,250 books. This participation gained great importance in highlighting the Emirati cultural production before the broad international publishing community, as the exhibition was distinguished by a record participation that included 1,457 publishing houses and more than 6,600 exhibitors from 83 countries.

As for the Damascus International Book Fair, which is considered one of the most prominent cultural events in the region, the “Distribution Platform” presented various publications from 49 Emirati publishing houses within 386 titles that included the fields of literature, culture, science, and children’s books, with a total of 1,479 books.

His Excellency Rashid Al-Kous, General Manager of Manasa Distribution Company, confirmed that participation in three of the most prominent local and regional cultural events comes within the framework of the company’s keenness to highlight Emirati literature, enhance its position in national cultural events, and enhance cultural exchange between the Emirates and sister countries, as well as expanding the reach of local publishers to intellectuals and readers in the Arab world and the world.

He said: We believe that the book is a gateway to knowledge and a bridge for communication between cultures. Therefore, we are keen to ensure that our publications are strongly present in prominent cultural forums such as Al Dhafra, Cairo and Damascus. Interacting with the Arab public in such events gives us the opportunity to discover the needs of readers and meet their aspirations. Through this active presence, we aspire to open new horizons for publishers and consolidate the leading position of the Emirati book on the map of regional and international culture, in addition to contributing to building an educated generation that is proud of its identity and open to experiences. Others in a way that reflects the UAE’s message and aspirations for the future.
