"Dewa" Looking to enhance cooperation with "First Public Hydrogen" and"American EPRI Institute"

Dubai, February 22 / WAM / Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of sustainable energy and innovation with First Public Hydrogen and the American Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).

This came during a meeting with His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Robert Hertzberg, a senior fellow at the Mission Possible Partnership and a member of the Board of Directors of First Public Hydrogen, and a senior delegation from the American Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in the fields of research, development, innovation, and capacity building, in addition to specialized training programs that include smart grids, renewable energy, energy storage, network modernization, energy efficiency, cybersecurity, integrating photovoltaic systems, and data analysis.

During the meeting – which was attended by Engineer Walid bin Salman, Executive Vice President of the Business Development and Excellence Sector, and Engineer Ghanem Al Qassim, Senior Director of Solar Energy – His Excellency Al Tayer stressed the Authority’s keenness to strengthen partnerships with leading international institutions to exchange technical expertise and develop the skills of national competencies.

This cooperation aims to enable national cadres to effectively contribute to leading the sustainable energy future, accelerating the pace of transformation in the energy sector and digital transformation, and enhancing climate efforts, in line with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Carbon Neutrality 2050 Strategy for the Emirate of Dubai.
