Nahyan bin Zayed witnesses part of the competitions of the seventh and final stage of the UAE Tour 2026

ABU DHABI, 22nd February, 2020 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, today witnessed part of the competitions of the seventh and final stage of the UAE Tour 2026, which was held in Abu Dhabi under the sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, where His Highness followed the course of the race in its final stop.
His Highness was keen to greet the participating riders, praising the high technical level and high sportsmanship that reflected the Tour’s prestigious position on the map of international cycling races.
The competitions of the eighth edition of the UAE Tour 2026, the only global race on the agenda of the International Cycling Union in the Middle East, concluded, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, over seven stages, with a total distance of 1,004.2 kilometers, with the participation of 147 riders representing 21 international teams.
The seventh and final stage, “Abu Dhabi Ports Group Stage,” was won by Italian Jonathan Milan, a Lidl-Trek team rider, after covering a distance of 149 kilometers with a time of two hours, 56 minutes and 48 seconds.
Mexican Isaac del Toro was crowned champion of the 2026 UAE Tour, after the Emirates
Del Toro won the 2026 edition title after topping the overall standings with a total time of 21 hours, 10 minutes and 30 seconds, wearing the red jersey sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Ports Group.
Jonathan Milan won the green jersey, sponsored by Mubadala, to lead the points standings after collecting 70 points during the race stages. Del Toro also won the white jersey, sponsored by Burjeel Holding, designated for the best young rider under 25 years of age, while Sylvain Dillier, a rider for the Alpecin-Premier Tech team, won the black jersey, sponsored by the house, for the leader of the medium speed standings. The Emirates XRG Team was crowned the best team in the eighth edition.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Director of the International Events Department at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, gave the launch signal for the final stage of the Zayed National Museum, while he crowned the winners in the breakwater area on the Abu Dhabi Corniche: His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Secretary General of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation, His Excellency Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and His Excellency Arif Hamad Al Awani, Secretary General of the Council. Abu Dhabi Sports Club, and His Excellency Ahmed Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Council.
