Global Council for Tolerance: The US ambassador’s statements threaten security and stability


Condemned Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Statements issued by US Ambassador to Israel regarding what he described as"Israel’s right to expand"Stressing that they contradict the established principles that govern relations between countries and represent a justification for policies of imposing a fait accompli at the expense of the legitimate rights of the Arab people.
The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, stressed in a statement that these statements give political cover to the practices of expansion and settlement, constitute a threat to regional and international security and stability, and undermine the chances of achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on respect for the sovereignty of states and the rights of peoples.
The Council called on the international community. To assume its responsibilities and take clear positions regarding any policies or statements that encourage expansion or affect the international legal system, reiterating that rejecting expansionist policies and imposing a fait accompli, and protecting the rights of peoples, represent the fundamental foundations of any sustainable peace based on justice, coexistence and stability.

The Kingdom condemns the statements

It condemned in the strongest terms and completely denounces what was included in the statements of the Ambassador of the United States of America to will be acceptable.

The Kingdom affirmed its categorical rejection of these irresponsible statements, which are a violation of international laws, the United Nations Charter, and diplomatic norms, and a dangerous precedent in their issuance by an American official, and are a disdain for the distinguished relations of the countries of the region with the United States of America.

She indicated that this extremist proposal portends dire consequences and threatens global security and peace, by antagonizing the countries and peoples of the region, and marginalizing the foundations of the international system, which the countries of the world agreed upon to put an end to the bloody wars that claimed the lives of millions of people in the past, and the respect that the international system established of respect for the geographical borders of countries and the sovereignty of countries over their territories, and the US State Department must clarify its position. This proposal is rejected by all peace-loving countries of the world.
In this regard, the Kingdom renewed its firm position in rejecting everything that would undermine the sovereignty, borders and territorial integrity of states, stressing that the only way to reach a just and comprehensive peace is to end the occupation on the basis of the two-state solution, and to embody the independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
