Abdullah bin Zayed: Protecting societies from hate speech and extremism is a collective responsibility

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Ambassador Rabbi Yehuda Kaplun, the Special Envoy of the United States of America to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, as part of a working visit by His Highness to Washington.

During the meeting, strategic relations between the UAE and the United States of America were discussed, in addition to reviewing a number of issues of common interest, most notably efforts to spread the values ​​of dialogue and tolerance, promote a culture of coexistence, and confront hate speech and extremism in all its forms.

They also touched on the importance of the Abrahamic Peace Agreement as a platform for promoting the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence, building bridges of trust, and consolidating a culture of peace in the region.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the UAE, based on its consistent approach to consolidating the values ​​of tolerance and human brotherhood, attaches special importance to supporting international initiatives aimed at combating anti-Semitism, stressing that protecting societies from hate speech and extremism represents a collective responsibility that requires close international cooperation.

His Highness pointed out that enhancing understanding between peoples and establishing a culture of dialogue constitutes a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable peace, stressing the UAE’s keenness to continue working with the friendly United States of America and all its partners, to support efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability, and consolidating the values ​​of coexistence at the regional and international levels.

The meeting was attended by Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajri, Minister of State, and Yousef Mana Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States of America.
