“Culture” prohibits the use of unapproved colors in Ramadan decorations

Issued Ministry of CultureA guide to ornaments and games for the month of Ramadan, as part of its efforts to organize the visual identity and activities accompanying the season, in a way that enhances the presence of the cultural and national character in the events and initiatives related to the holy month, and ensures the unification of visual uses according to approved standards.

The Ministry confirmed that colors represent a key element in building the visual identity, which requires strict adherence to the color codes and groups specified in the guide, stressing that any colors not included are considered unapproved.

It clarified. The identity is based on the values of clarity, authenticity, earth, and determination, with the adoption of eight secondary colors that can be used in various forms of communication, in addition to the colors white and beige to ensure contrast and Appropriate visual clarity.

With regard to the use of the logo, the guide explained the mechanism of applying it to colored backgrounds, specifying the correct uses and avoiding incorrect applications, in order to preserve the consistency of the identity and its visual integrity in all printed and digital materials.

The guide included specifying the approved fonts for the identity, as a main Arabic font used in thick weight was approved for titles, and a “silk” font was used in normal weight for texts, while a main English font was adopted for titles in thick weight, And the “Majalla Sakkal” font is in a normal weight for English texts, in order to achieve harmony between the different linguistic components.

At the level of visual elements, the Ministry revealed the design of a set of icons for the occasion, including icons for the founding day and others for the month of Ramadan, with the possibility of using them individually or combining them to form innovative visual patterns, whether in grid or circular formations, with the necessity of maintaining visual proportionality when changing sizes.

Interactive games that enhance cultural identity

The guide included a package of games inspired by national identity and cultural heritage, with the aim of enhancing community interaction in an entertaining and educational manner. The most prominent of which is the game of question cards related to the Founding Day, which depends on the speed of the answer, and can be used in printed or digital format.

The games included a special version of the card game inspired by the classic “Shadda”, but with a design that reflects the Saudi identity and characters that express the national heritage, while adhering to the known rules of the game, allowing for an integrated visual and cultural experience.

The guide also included a game that relies on the skill of describing words without using specific semantic words, where players compete in teams to explain Words within a specific time, in addition to the ladder and rope game based on luck and progress through a numbered board, as well as a word game inspired by “human, inanimate animal” with vocabulary related to place, clothing, food, and landmarks, which enhances knowledge of local vocabulary.

The initiative included a maze game that relies on concentration and accuracy of observation to find the correct path from the starting point to the end, whether individually or competitively.

The Ministry of Culture confirmed that the launch of this guide comes within its endeavors. To establish a unified visual identity and activate cultural events during the month of Ramadan, through design and interactive tools that combine originality and innovation, and enhance society’s connection to its values and heritage in a modern and organized manner.
