Ajman Municipality will plant 5,465 trees in 2025

Ajman, February 24 / WAM / The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department announced the planting of 5,465 trees during the year 2025, as part of its sustainable efforts to expand the green area, in line with Ajman Vision 2030.
Dr. Engineer Khaled Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, confirmed that the noticeable increase in the number of trees reflects the department’s commitment to protecting the environment and reducing negative impacts, in accordance with the approved environmental plans and the emirate’s future vision.
For his part, Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Public Parks, explained that the projects focused on enhancing plant diversity by planting local trees such as Ghaf and Sidr, and fruitful and ornamental trees, in accordance with the highest environmental standards to achieve sustainability, provide shade, and improve the urban climate.
He pointed out the continued implementation of the local tree numbering initiative, achieving an increase of 400%, which contributes to their documentation and efficient management.
