The clips and pictures of incidents in the emirate that are being circulated are incorrect and misleading

The Sharjah Government Media Office confirmed that the clips and pictures of incidents in the Emirate of Sharjah that are being circulated on social media date back to previous periods, and are incorrect and misleading materials that do not reflect the current situation.

The office explained that among the materials circulated are clips dating back to old fires and others related to a fire resulting from an electrical short circuit, and are not related in any way to current events on the international scene.

The office called on the public and the media to ensure accuracy and responsibility, to obtain information from official channels and approved sources only, and not to circulate rumors or news of unknown origin, as this has a direct impact in creating confusion and misleading public opinion.

The office also stressed that publishing or re-publishing such materials exposes their perpetrators to legal accountability in accordance with the laws in force in the country.
