He explained, for example, that the success of Egyptian works, especially comedies such as “Divorce Me” and “Fiha Eh Means,” boosted ticket sales in Saudi Arabia (more than 27 million riyals per month), which consolidates the Kingdom’s position as a major partner for Egyptian production companies.
This Egyptian-Saudi partnership represents a basis for leading the comprehensive Arab cultural advancement project that the Arab film industry aspires to, and it also represents a glimmer of hope for creators.
Al-Otaibi stressed that The General Entertainment Authority contributed to supporting artistic exchange, which had a positive impact on the box office and the artistic industry, and strengthened the joint creative movement.
