Officials and foreign ministers denounce the blatant Iranian attacks on the UAE

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during telephone calls with a number of foreign ministers of brotherly and friendly countries, discussed the current regional developments, in the wake of the blatant Iranian missile attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held telephone discussions with the Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Al-Sheikh, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Ayman Al-Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, and Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India, Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, Asaad Al-Shaibani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development of the United Kingdom, Yvette Cooper, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain, José Manuel Albares, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Turkey, Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Relations of the Republic of Panama, Javier Martinez Acha, and the Special Advisor for Foreign and Security Policy Affairs to the German Chancellor, Dr. Gunter Sauter.

The communications discussed the dire consequences of the ongoing escalation in the region, the expansion of the conflict, and the continuation of these blatant Iranian violations that would undermine regional and international security and threaten the stability of the global economy and energy security.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the ministers condemned, and strongly denounced, the blatant Iranian attacks on the UAE and the countries of the region, and affirmed the full and legitimate right of all targeted countries to respond to these attacks, in a way that guarantees the protection of their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their territories, citizens, and residents, in accordance with international law.

The ministers also stressed the importance of self-restraint, and giving priority to the language of serious and responsible dialogue to overcome the current crisis, in a way that guarantees the peoples of the region security, stability and prosperity.
