The American Embassy in Kuwait calls on people not to come to its headquarters

Today, the US Embassy in Kuwait called on people not to go to the embassy building, after columns of smoke were observed rising from its headquarters.

The embassy stated in a warning on its website: “There is still a continuing threat of missile and drone attacks over Kuwait. Do not go to the embassy. Take shelter in your residences on the available lower floors, away from windows. Do not go out.”

The statement added, “The American embassy employees are committed to sheltering in place.”
