The Head of State receives a phone call from the President of Sierra Leone regarding developments in the region

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a phone call from Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, during which they reviewed the situation in the region in light of the dangerous military escalation it is witnessing and its repercussions on regional and international security and peace, and they exchanged views on it.

The President of Sierra Leone expressed his denunciation of the blatant Iranian attacks on the UAE and a number of sister countries, stressing that they represent a violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations, and expressing Sierra Leone’s solidarity with the UAE in all the measures it takes to preserve its land, security, and the safety of its citizens.

For his part, His Highness the President of the State expressed his thanks to Julius Maada Bio for his country’s position in support of the UAE.

During the call, the two sides called for the need to exercise restraint and stop the military escalation in the region, as it poses a serious threat to its security and stability, and to address various issues through dialogue and diplomatic solutions.
