Banks raise the daily withdrawal limit to 3,000 dinars at ATMs and 6,000 dinars at points of sale

Financial institutions in Bahrain decided to temporarily raise the minimum transactions and exempt from fees for increasing the daily limit, to enhance user liquidity and encourage digital payments under the current circumstances.
The Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait announced on its Instagram account that it had been decided to raise the daily limit for cards until further notice, and to increase the daily limit for withdrawing cash from ATMs using a debit card to 3,000 dinars, and to increase the daily limit for point-of-sale operations (POS) using a debit card to 6,000 dinars, while increasing the daily limit for credit cards from the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait and exempting from fees for increasing the daily limit.

In turn, Al Salam Bank announced that the daily limit for point-of-sale (POS) operations had been temporarily raised to 6,000 dinars, and called on customers to manage their banking transactions through the Al Salam Bank application, and follow the bank’s account on Instagram to see the latest developments.
Al Salam Bank also indicated that, in order to ensure the safety of customers and the continuity of providing services, it was decided to open the following bank branches: the main branch (Sanabis), the East Riffa Branch, the Muharraq Branch, the Hamad Town Branch, and the Budaiya Branch, while the rest of the branches will remain temporarily closed.
Al Salam Bank confirmed that the virtual branch is available, and appointments can be booked via the Skiplino application.
For its part, the National Bank of Bahrain decided to raise the minimum withdrawal amount to 2,000 dinars, and at points of sale to 2,000 dinars.
