The Head of State receives a phone call from the Prime Minister of Canada, during which he affirmed his country’s solidarity with the UAE following the Iranian attacks on its territory.

Abu Dhabi, 3 March / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, today received a phone call from His Excellency Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, addressing the dangerous escalatory developments taking place in the region and their repercussions on regional security and stability.

The Prime Minister expressed Canada’s solidarity with the UAE following the blatant Iranian attacks on its territory and a number of countries in the region, stressing the condemnation of the attacks, which represent a blatant violation of the sovereignty of states and the principles of international law and undermine regional and international security and stability.

For his part, His Highness the President thanked the Prime Minister of Canada for his country’s position in support of the UAE.

His Highness stressed the need to immediately stop escalatory actions and return to serious dialogue and diplomatic solutions to overcome the current crisis and preserve the security and stability of the region.
