Trump is ready to support armed groups in Iran to overthrow the regime

US officials told the Wall Street Journal that US President Donald Trump is open to supporting Iranian groups that are ready to take up arms to overthrow the regime.

The Veterans Day ceremony at the White House, which will be held under Trump’s presidency, is expected to address the topic of Iran.

Sources reported that Trump spoke with Kurdish leaders in Iran on Sunday, and that he continues to communicate with other local leaders who may exploit Tehran’s weakness to achieve gains.

The sources added that Trump has not yet made a final decision on this issue, including whether he will provide weapons, training, or intelligence assistance to groups opposed to the regime.
