Anyone chosen to succeed Khamenei will be a target for elimination

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said today that anyone chosen by Iran to be the new guide to succeed Ali Khamenei will be a “target for liquidation,” as the war on Iran enters its fifth day.

Katz wrote on his account on the “X” platform: “Any leader appointed by the Iranian regime to continue and lead the plan to destroy Israel, threaten the United States, the free world, and the countries of the region, and suppress the Iranian people will be a target for liquidation.”

He added, “It does not matter the name of the person Iran chooses or the place where he is hiding,” noting that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “directed the Israeli army to prepare and work by all means to carry out the mission as an integral part of the objectives of Operation Lion’s Roar.”

He continued: “We will continue to move with full force, with our American partners, to crush the regime’s capabilities and create the conditions for the Iranian people to overthrow and replace it.”

Earlier yesterday, Israel announced that it had targeted a building linked to the “Council of Leadership Experts in Iran,” which is the body that will choose the new supreme leader.
