Kuwait…an automatic extension of visitation privileges for a month

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced the extension of all types of entry visas for a visit that has ended or is about to end during the period of the situation the country is going through for a period of one month, starting from Saturday, February 28, 2026.
The Ministry said in a statement today that the extension is done automatically through the automated system without the need to review the Residence Affairs Departments, with a complete exemption from the prescribed fees and fines incurred during this period in appreciation of the current exceptional circumstances.
She explained that residents outside the country who have exceeded the prescribed period of absence and are unable to return to the State of Kuwait will be granted an absence permit for a period of 3 months automatically through the automated system without the need for review, with an exemption from the prescribed fees.
The Ministry confirmed that the mentioned periods can be extended according to developments in the situation in the country, calling on everyone to follow the Ministry’s official channels to see any developments related to this matter, asking God Almighty to protect Kuwait, its people, and everyone residing on its land from all harm.
