The US Senate supports Trump’s campaign against Iran and prevents stopping the war

The majority of US Senators supported the military campaign that President Donald Trump ordered to be launched against Iran, in a move that reflects broad political support for the operation within Congress.
The Council voted to block a draft resolution that aimed to stop the war, and requires the US administration to obtain prior authorization from Congress before carrying out any hostilities against Iran.
In this context, White House spokeswoman Carolyn Levitt said that the American people support the decision to enter a war against Iran, despite the results of opinion polls indicating the opposite.
Levitt added during a press conference that US President Donald Trump believes that the Americans stand by his side in this decision.
She continued: “I think the president knows that the country is smart enough to look past the many fake news headlines that portray this action as unjustified.”
