Dubai Islamic honors 20 winners of "Muezzin Al Freej challenge "

Dubai, 6 March / WAM / The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai honored 20 winners as part of the “Al Freej Muezzin Challenge” initiative, as part of its community initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan, in recognition of their excellence in performing the call to prayer and enabling them to raise it in neighborhood mosques throughout the holy month, in a step that embodies the department’s keenness to discover emerging talents, nurture them, and consolidate the presence of Islamic rituals in the minds of young people and their daily behavior.
The initiative witnessed wide participation from children from various regions of the emirate, who were given the opportunity to demonstrate their vocal abilities in performing the call to prayer before a specialized committee that selected an elite group of distinguished voices to perform the call to prayer in Al Furjan mosques.
The department was keen to distribute the participants to mosques close to their areas of residence in order to make it easier for them to perform this ritual, strengthen their connection to Al Fareej Mosque, and strengthen the connection between young people and the mosque in their community surroundings.
Abdullah Abu Bakr Basalah, official of the Al-Faraj Muezzin Initiative, confirmed that honoring the winners of the “Fareej Muezzin Challenge” comes in appreciation of their commitment, perseverance, and the excellence they have shown in performing the call to prayer. He explained that giving them the opportunity to raise the call to prayer in Al-Furjan mosques during the month of Ramadan gives them a realistic faith experience that enhances their self-confidence and encourages them to develop their abilities in a way that qualifies them to be future voices of mosques and bearers of their message in society.
The list of winners of the “Farij Muezzin Challenge” included Muhammad Yousef Muhammad, Khalifa Yusuf Khalfan Al Madhani, Rashid Khalid Al Ketbi, Ahmed Muhammad Al Khouri, Harib Muhammad Al Farsi, Abdul Rahman Khaled Ismail, Hamdan Arif Al Shehhi, Rashid Saeed Al Madhani, Saeed Khalid Obaid, Hamdan Muhammad Hassan, Muhammad Khaled Al Falasi, Abdulaziz Mahboob Ali, Hazza Badr Al Naqbi, Saud Abu Bakr Saad, Abdul Rahman Muhammad Ali, Hamdan Fahd Muhammad, Abdul Malik Muhammad Hassan, Abdullah Al-Waleed Al-Hajri, Saqr Omar Abdul-Wahed, and Mayed Bakhit Al-Muhairi, where they were honored in recognition of their excellence in performance.
