The meeting of the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Information in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries stresses the importance of developing a unified Gulf media discourse

The Undersecretary of the Bahraini Ministry of Information, Yousef Mohammed Al-Binkhalil, chaired the extraordinary meeting of Their Excellencies Undersecretaries of the Information Ministries of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held via video conference, within the framework of following up on regional developments resulting from the sinful Iranian attacks on the GCC countries, and the accompanying attacks that targeted civilian objects, vital installations and infrastructure, in flagrant violation of the principles of international law, international humanitarian law, and the Charter of the United Nations, and the direct threat this poses to the security and stability of the region and the safety of its people.

The Undersecretary of the Bahraini Ministry of Information stressed that the GCC states reserve their full right to respond and take all necessary measures to protect their national security and preserve their sovereignty, in coordination with their allies and partners, praising the efforts of the valiant armed forces in confronting this treacherous aggression, and the active role played by the competent security authorities in preserving the security of citizens and residents and ensuring the safety of vital installations and facilities. He also appreciated the contribution of various government agencies and official and societal institutions in confronting the current challenges, in a way that reflects the unity and cohesion of the GCC states in such matters. These circumstances.

During the meeting, the agenda and technical topics scheduled to be submitted to the emergency meeting of information ministers of the GCC countries were discussed, in addition to reviewing the joint Gulf media plan for dealing with current developments, and enhancing coordination and integration between official media institutions in the GCC countries, to ensure highlighting the facts, and confronting attempts at media misinformation and rumors aimed at undermining the security and stability of the GCC countries.

The meeting also stressed the importance of developing a unified Gulf media discourse that reflects the common positions of the GCC countries, keeps pace with developments, and enhances its media presence at the regional and international levels, while emphasizing continued coordination between official media institutions to ensure clarity and accuracy of information and their responsibility in conveying the facts.
