“Education and Knowledge” in Abu Dhabi invites students to participate in the “Salute to the First Line of Defense” initiative

The Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi launched the “Salute to the First Line of Defense” initiative within the framework of the “Creative Patriotic” program, and in line with the “Determination of a Nation” campaign, and invited students from various educational levels to participate in this community initiative that reflects deep appreciation for everyone who continues to support their country and maintain its security and stability.

The initiative gives students from different educational levels the opportunity to express their feelings through contributions that range from poignant poems, artistic paintings, musical works, and creative innovations, in a non-competitive framework that ensures that every voice is heard and every contribution is appreciated, in a way that enhances feelings of belonging, security, and pride in the homeland.

The initiative comes at a time when the strength of community solidarity and pride in national identity is evident, providing a space in which Abu Dhabi students express feelings of gratitude and national pride through art, literature, music and innovation, as it allows them to send messages of appreciation to the heroes of the first line of defense, workers in the field, health and educational staff, and everyone who dedicates their efforts to serving the community.

The department will showcase the students’ creativity in a digital exhibition to be held in June 2026, to form a platform that documents the messages of appreciation, pride, and esteem this initiative carries. A number of selected works will be displayed in public facilities and places, which contributes to delivering the students’ messages to the community, and enhancing their presence outside the school environment.
The department encouraged all schools and parents to support students in Abu Dhabi to participate in this initiative to celebrate the heroes of the first line of defense by highlighting the students’ creativity.
Participations will be received from April 27 until May 11, 2026, provided that schools will be provided with more details about the participation mechanism and timetables through the approved official channels.
