Transformed The Kingdom’s airports, especially Land ports with complete smoothness, amidst exceptional global circumstances.
The airport witnessed a high operational density as it received successive Gulf flights, most notably a Gulf Air flight that came from Jeddah carrying 350 Bahraini and Gulf passengers.
A Kuwait Airways plane carrying 158 passengers also landed, in addition to previous flights carrying 105 passengers from India, 185 citizens from London, and 175 coming from Manchester.
Accommodation units
As soon as the travelers arrive, they are hosted in fully equipped accommodation units inside the airport, before being transported via designated buses to the land ports, most notably the Khafji border port, to facilitate their return.
The returnees expressed their great relief after the anxiety that preceded the confirmation of their reservations, stressing in their conversations with “Today,” their landing in Dammam is equivalent to their actual arrival in their homelands.
On the field side, the Al-Khafji border port is operating at its full capacity by operating 17 entry lanes for arrivals, and ten lanes designated for completing procedures for departures towards Kuwaiti territory.
Speed of completion
Customs and security procedures at Saudi land ports are characterized by record speed of completion, as it does not exceed a period of time. Completing transactions for a single traveler takes a maximum of five to ten minutes.
The stable Saudi airspace has become a lifeline for thousands of stranded people, prompting carriers in the Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar to adopt the Kingdom’s airports as a bridge for safe crossing.
