"Muslim sages" Strongly condemns the targeting of the UAE consulate in the Kurdistan region of Iraq
Abu Dhabi, 11 March / WAM / The Council of Muslim Elders, headed by His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, condemned in the strongest terms the treacherous terrorist attack using a drone, which targeted the Consulate General of the UAE in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and resulted in material damage but no casualties.
In a statement issued today, the Council affirmed its categorical rejection of such treacherous attacks targeting diplomatic missions and headquarters, noting that they constitute a blatant violation of international norms and laws, and constitute a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
The Muslim Council of Elders reaffirmed its rejection of the blatant attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of Arab countries.
