After a long absence.. Aline Khalaf returns with the duo Wael El Sharkawy and Samar Henedy

It is almost certain that the official return of the Lebanese artist, Aline Khalaf, to the Arab artistic scene, after a long artistic absence, will be signed by a purely Jordanian, through her cooperation with the creative duo: composer and music arranger Wael Al-Sharqawi, and the lyricist Samar Henedy, as the two have already begun weaving the threads of the new song for the star who has been absent for many years.

It is ironic that the work presented by Al-Sharqawi and Henedy for the artist returning to the artistic scene will be in the Lebanese dialect, according to what the song’s author, the poet Samar Henedy, confirmed in an interview exclusively with “Zahrat Al-Khaleej.”

Henedy, who preferred not to reveal the details of the new song, explained that Aline Khalaf is currently in the Jordanian capital, Amman. With the aim of developing the new work and completing it in the best possible way, ensuring a distinguished return for the star, which her fans are impatiently awaiting, and with great love and longing.

She added that the next song will be written by her, composed and arranged by Wael El-Sharqawi, indicating that she prefers not to set a date for its release at the present time, stressing that the matter is related to the circumstances that the region is going through in general.

Despite the release of some separate songs by the Lebanese star in recent years, she has remained officially away from the artistic scene for nearly thirteen years. Her cooperation with Al-Sharqawi and Henedy is good news for her fans, especially since their latest song “How Are You Faraqi”, written by Samar Henedy, composed by Wael Al-Sharqawi, and sung by the two stars: Fadel Shaker and Mohamed Shaker, was among the five most listened to songs on YouTube during the year 2025, exceeding the barrier of 187 million views.

Al-Sharqawi and Henedy became a distinguished artistic duo, after they presented more than five artistic works together that achieved remarkable success, and most of these songs carried sincere human feelings, which were widely accepted by the Arab public.

In the same context, Henedy explained that communication with Aline Khalaf took place through her manager, without any complications, noting that the artist liked the words and melody that were presented to her, and expressed great enthusiasm. To present the work in a distinctive lyrical style.

Henedy had previously confirmed that she had become more careful in choosing her new works, as she did not want to take a step back, after the great success of the song “How Are You With My Parting,” which constituted a milestone in her artistic career.

Despite the long absence, Aline Khalaf’s songs are still widely spread to this day, and are widely accepted by current generations, the most prominent of which are: “Ya Sababeen Al-Shay”, “Tir Ya Pigeon”, “Aalbal”, “Betaghir”, and other songs that she presented at the height of her spread and fame.
