“Children’s Investment Fund Foundation” contributes 367 million dirhams in support of the “Limit to Life” campaign

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation announced its contribution of $100 million (367 million dirhams), in support of the “End Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, to raise at least one billion dirhams to be invested in combating child hunger in the world.

The partnership with the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation embodies the global humanitarian dimension of the “End Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation, and its ability to participate in international efforts to combat hunger and malnutrition among children around the world.

The partnership represents part of the efforts of the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation on a broader international scale in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation and other partners to protect children in less fortunate communities from the risks of hunger and malnutrition, as 1 in 4 children under the age of 5 years globally live in a state of acute food poverty, meaning about 181 million children do not receive the minimum nutritional diversity necessary for healthy growth.

Eliminate hunger

Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, confirmed that the “End Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation is inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” in launching and implementing major initiatives that accelerate global efforts to eradicate hunger.
