Dubai Islamic concludes the “Eyal Al Freej” initiative and distributes Eid gifts to participating children

The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai concluded the activities of its Ramadan community initiative “Eyal Al Freej” this year, which contributed to strengthening children’s connection to mosques and consolidating their presence as an effective educational and social environment in the lives of young people, as part of the “Ramadan in Dubai” initiatives aimed at instilling faith values in new generations and encouraging them to commit to praying in congregation.
The department will begin distributing the Eid gift to children from Thursday, the 23rd of Ramadan, until Sunday, the 26th of Ramadan, at both the Al-Mizhar Islamic Cultural Center and the Umm Al-Sheif Islamic Cultural Center from 12 noon until 5 p.m., in honor of the children who participated in the initiative and committed to its programs throughout the holy month.
This year, the initiative witnessed a wide turnout of more than 10,000 children across the Emirate of Dubai as a result of the expansion witnessed by the initiative and the opening of the way for participation in more than 300 mosques in various regions of the emirate, which gave families and children a broader opportunity to engage in this Ramadan experience that combines worship and community spirit.
Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector and General Coordinator of the “Ramadan in Dubai” initiative, Mohammed Musabah Dhahi, confirmed that the “Eyal Al Freej” initiative aims, in essence, to build a sustainable relationship between the child and the mosque and instill the values of discipline and commitment in the lives of young people. He explained that the initiative witnessed this year a qualitative development represented by opening the way for children to complete the five daily prayers in the mosque throughout the days of Ramadan, which was reflected in the high level of commitment and participation.
