The President of the State receives a phone call from the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, during which he condemned the terrorist attack on the UAE Consulate
Abu Dhabi, March 10 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, today received a phone call from His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, during which he condemned the treacherous terrorist attack that targeted the Consulate General of the UAE in Iraqi Kurdistan.
His Excellency stressed that the attack on the UAE Consulate constitutes a violation of international norms and conventions that guarantee the protection of diplomatic missions and their headquarters, and a dangerous escalation that threatens the safety and security of workers in the diplomatic corps.
During the call, the two sides also discussed the dangerous developments taking place in the region in light of the escalating military actions and their repercussions on regional security and stability.
