The UAE places childhood at the top of its development priorities

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairwoman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, confirmed that in light of the current events, circumstances and changes that the world is witnessing today, the humanitarian responsibility is renewed in establishing an integrated system towards childhood, in light of the crises that cast a shadow on the security and future of children.
Her Highness pointed out that “Emirati Children’s Day” serves as a reminder of the importance of child care and strengthening efforts to protect children and ensure their future. She said: Children are the true wealth of societies and nations, and they are the hope of their present and the builders of their future, and protecting them and providing them with safety is a collective commitment and a firm human duty.
Her Highness said: The UAE, which has placed people on its list of priorities and made them the focus of its development vision, is keen to consolidate the values of peace and tolerance as pillars of prosperous societies, and to provide a safe environment for children that stimulates their growth and enables them to develop their abilities and skills, based on the belief of its wise leadership that building the future begins with investing in people, and that a healthy childhood is the foundation of successful societies capable of achieving sustainable development and creating a brighter and more stable future.
