Continued Arab and international solidarity with the UAE against blatant Iranian attacks

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, yesterday, during a phone call he received from his brother, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, discussed developments in the situation in the region, following the escalating military actions, and the risks of expanding the conflict and its repercussions on regional and international security and stability.

During the call, the Egyptian President renewed his condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region, and Egypt’s solidarity with the UAE regarding all the measures it takes to preserve its security and sovereignty, and ensure the safety of its citizens.

The Egyptian President appreciated the responsible role of the UAE in supporting efforts to calm the situation and enhance stability in the region, praising the measures it took to contain the current escalation.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also affirmed Egypt’s readiness to provide all possible forms of support in order to maintain the stability of the region during this dangerous stage in its history.

For his part, His Highness the Head of State, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, thanked Egypt’s position in support of the UAE.

The two sides stressed the need to immediately stop the military escalation, and to give priority to serious dialogue and diplomatic means to address the region’s issues, to spare it further tensions and crises, and to preserve regional and international peace and security.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from King Felipe VI, King of the Kingdom of Spain, during which he condemned the blatant Iranian attacks that continue to target the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region, stressing Spain’s solidarity with the UAE regarding all the measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty and security, and ensure the safety of its territories.

During the call, King Felipe appreciated the attention that the UAE pays to Spanish nationals and all residents of its lands, and its keenness to facilitate their procedures and ensure their security and safety, praising the efficiency of the measures taken by the state and its success in managing the crisis and preserving its security and the safety of its citizens.

For his part, His Highness the President of the State expressed his thanks to King Philip for his country’s position in support of the UAE.

The two sides also discussed developments in the situation in the region in light of the continuing military escalation and its dangerous repercussions that represent a threat to stability and security in the region and the world as a whole, stressing the need to immediately stop the military escalation and return to dialogue and diplomatic means, in a way that preserves the security and stability of the region.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta condemned the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region, stressing that they represent a violation of the sovereignty of states and international conventions, and their continuation constitutes an undermining of regional security and stability.

For his part, His Highness the President of the State expressed his thanks to the Prime Minister of Malta for his country’s position in support of the UAE.

The two sides called for an immediate cessation of escalation and military actions, stressing the need to return to serious dialogue and diplomatic solutions to address the outstanding issues and overcome the current crises in the region, in a way that preserves its security and stability.

Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from the brotherly Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, during which they discussed developments in the situation in the region and their dangerous repercussions on its security and stability, in addition to the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region. During the call, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani condemned the treacherous terrorist attack that targeted the Consulate General of the UAE in Iraqi Kurdistan, for the second time within a week, stressing that it constitutes a dangerous violation of international norms and conventions that guarantee full protection of diplomatic missions and their headquarters.

He stressed Iraq’s rejection of any attack on its diplomatic and consular missions, and its keenness to provide them with full protection, ensuring the continuation of their work and the performance of their duties in a safe environment, in line with relevant international obligations. The two sides stressed the importance of stopping the escalation, and giving priority to dialogue and diplomatic solutions to address the region’s issues, in a way that preserves regional peace and security.
