ABU DHABI, March 16 / WAM / The second edition of the “Young Pioneers towards a Sustainable Future” exhibition was launched yesterday evening in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, and in cooperation with the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, in conjunction with the celebration of Emirati Children’s Day.

The exhibition aims to highlight the role of children and young women in building a sustainable economic future, and to encourage them to engage in entrepreneurship from an early age, in a way that enhances their spirit of innovation and creativity.

The second edition of the exhibition witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of children and adolescents who presented their own projects and products to visitors, in a practical experience aimed at developing sales, marketing and communication skills, in addition to consolidating the concept of responsibility and sustainability in work and production.

Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan said, “This exhibition comes to establish entrepreneurship as a fundamental pillar in the UAE’s sustainable development system. We firmly believe that instilling the concepts of self-employment and initiative in the hearts of emerging generations is the true guarantee for preparing future leaders who are able to transform challenges into opportunities, and develop the spirit of innovation and creativity in the work environment. What we instill today in our children’s awareness of the values of production and economic responsibility is what will make the Emirati child a model for the innovator and investor who He contributes effectively to the renaissance of his country and the sustainability of its capabilities.”

For her part, Dr. Sumaya Bin Omar, who supervised the organization of the exhibition, said that the initiative seeks to provide a marketing platform for children to discover the world of entrepreneurship and develop their practical skills in a supportive and stimulating environment, noting that the exhibition focuses on promoting a culture of sustainability and encouraging small projects based on innovation and local products.

The “Young Pioneers Towards a Sustainable Future” exhibition aims to support emerging talents and promote the concept of a sustainable economy, in addition to establishing a culture of work and production among children, in line with the UAE’s trends in empowering youth and preparing future leaders.
