The Head of State receives the Korean President’s envoy

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received Kang Hoon-sik, Head of the Secretariat of the Presidential Office of the Republic of Korea and the Special Presidential Envoy of the UAE.

During the meeting, the Korean presidential envoy conveyed to His Highness the greetings of Lee Jae-myung, President of the sisterly Republic of Korea, and his wishes for the UAE for continued security, progress and prosperity, while His Highness the Special Envoy conveyed his greetings to the Korean president and his wishes for his country and its people further development and for the relations of the two countries continued prosperity.

The meeting touched on the developments taking place in the region and their dangerous repercussions due to the threat they pose to regional and global security and peace.

The Korean envoy affirmed Korea’s solidarity with the UAE regarding the measures it is taking to preserve its security and the safety of its territories and citizens.

The two sides stressed the need to give priority to dialogue and diplomatic means in addressing regional issues in order to avoid further tensions and preserve regional security and stability.

Kang Hoon-sik also expressed his thanks to His Highness the President of the State and his appreciation for the attention that the UAE pays to Korean nationals and all residents on its soil to facilitate their procedures and ensure their safety and security.

The meeting touched on the paths of Emirati-Korean cooperation within the framework of the “special strategic partnership” that brings together the two countries in priority areas.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, and a number of senior officials.
